Introduction

The aim of a postgraduate Speech-Language Pathology program is to produce competent, ethical clinicians with strong Islamic values in the field. These clinicians employ the best evidence-based methods for identification, differential diagnosis, and management of a range of speech, language, and swallowing disorders through well-equipped clinical settings. The program comprises 70 credit hours of course work and research for students with no prior background in the field of Speech and Language Pathology. Students are encouraged to actively participate in high standards of research. The course also allows for specialization in an area of preference. Clinical supervision is provided by foreign qualified and trained faculty members with a ratio of two students to one supervisor. The program allows clinicians to work in a multitude of settings including but not limited to schools, private practice, hospitals, and rehabilitation centers. The course is based on a modular system allowing for greater structure, knowledge, and problem-solving.
